It’s a fact that 90% of all top performers in any industry send out hand written notes to their customers. And 90% of everybody who receives a card says it makes them feel important.

Let me give you another excellent example.

There are 2 words that put a new car salesman in the Guinness Book of World Records for selling more cars than any other person in the history of the car business. If you wanted to buy a car from Joe you had to make an appointment at least two weeks in advance. The average new car sales person sells around 10 a month. Joe's sales were 6 cars every day!

What are the two magic words that Joe used?

The words were "THANK YOU."

Here was one of Joe's secrets. Every time someone bought a car from Joe they went on his thank you mailing list. Every month Joe would send a card to everyone who ever bought a car from him. As his business grew he hired a staff to address and mail his cards. When his mailing list got too big to do it by hand he hired a mailing company to manage it for him.

At the beginning of each year Joe hired a graphic artist to design 12 highly attractive cards. His customers actually collected the cards and even put them on their fireplace mantel.

When Joe retired (a wealthy man) his monthly mailing list was nearly 20,000 cards. He said "thank you" TWENTY THOUSAND TIMES each month!

I have just become a member of Delta's Million Mile Club. That means my air travel on Delta alone has exceeded one million miles. With that many miles I am frequently upgraded to first class. I have a confession to make. I have been an independent full time sales trainer since August 29, 1990, and I have never made a cold call since that date!

I have never picked up the phone and called someone cold or knocked on a door without knowing who I was going to talk to. I have never gone on an appointment without giving the person I am going to see a lot of information before we talk.

Here is another fact.

Only one in thirty-three people who try to become an independent sales trainer or professional speaker can sell enough to earn a living. That's around a 97% failure rate! And the high failure rate is due mostly because they use cold calls as their primary method of selling.

In some of my early selling jobs I was forced to pick up the phone and call people cold. I became pretty good at it. I got over the rejection and sarcastic remarks that I was faced with every day. It takes about 100 calls to condition your mind and stop caring what people say or think. I don't mind making cold calls. If they worked I would be "dialing for dollars" all day long.

However, it didn't take long to realize that cold calling was not a very professional or productive way to present your services. Cold calling is the MAIN reason selling has such a high turnover rate.

My first adventures in selling were life insurance, food plans and job recruiting. I failed BIG TIME. It was not until I realized that before you call on someone you have to WARM THEM UP! Later I purchased a meat company that was ready to go out of business. As I was looking for a miracle to save this business and my reputation, I found a file with about 3,000 invoices from past customers. My first impulse was to start calling them. However, instead I went to the post office and purchased 3000 pre-stamped post cards, had my employees write a hand written message on the card with my signature and mailed them. Over the next 90 days we had more than 1500 customers come in!! A 50% return on the mailing. This is UNHEARD OF! But it just goes to show you the power of a personal card.

I finally realized that selling was not a game of chance. I previously thought all I had to do was "make one more call" and everything would fall into place. Until I learned the value of the "pre-approach" I could make as many "one more calls" as possible and still fall flat on my face! And what is the pre-approach? Warm them up by sending information and personalized cards.

And what about getting someone's attention in the first place? You HAVE to do something personal or they are gone in 3 seconds! It is a fact that typical junk mail only has about a 2% chance of getting opened and only 15% of email gets opened and read! However, 98% of greeting cards get opened.

My other list is for my own clients. I have 500 very special clients and I send them a card every month. Before finding this system sending a large mailing was a real chore. These are people who can hire me for sales training. When I get a call for information about a program or topic, I transfer them to my hot list, send the details and put them in a "campaign" where they receive a card from me every week automatically, just like an email sequential autoresponder, only this goes out in the mail.

Here is the secret of success in my speaking business. I invest $500 per month sending these high quality cards to my clients and prospects. This results in an income far exceeding $100,000 per year in speaking fees. Plus, I automatically build a very nice residual income from people asking about the cards.

The late Bill Gove, who was one of the most successful speakers and sales trainers in the country as well as the first president of the National Speakers Association, told me about a similar process he used to sell over 5000 speaking and training engagements. He would hand write 5 cards every day and mail them to his client base of 300. Using this method he was able to contact everyone on his list once every two months. If Bill were alive today, he would feel just as excited about this program as I do!

Besides being such a unique product and service the other things that make this a great company to be associated with is the people and the business model.

Think for a minute about the business model of this company.

In addition to the unique product, they have no competition, no inventory, no accounts receivable, no call centers, no warehouse, no retail stores and most importantly, a very healthy gross profit.

And what do they do with that gross profit?

Instead of spending it on marketing and advertising they spend it on their compensation program.

The only way you can become a distributor is by being referred by someone who is already a distributor. Every time you refer someone you receive $120.

Because this system uses an "auto ship" feature (meaning that when someone signs up they agree to automatically purchase 100 points each month at 31 cents apiece), you receive a percentage of that auto ship every month. The percentage ranges from 2% all the way up to 25%. It’s best to simply use the system in your own business and it will sell itself. Once you have "accidentally" sold about a dozen other folks and received checks totaling $1440 ($120 x 12) you will be a true believer in the program and can look into increasing your commissions and referral bonuses.

What’s the big deal about 2%?

Let’s say out of the hundreds of cards you send out 24 people call you about the cards and gifts you are sending and you send them to YOUR website. Twelve of them really like the program and decide to use the system. Let’s say this happens 3 more times with each of the 12 you refer. It would look like this:

Your 12 x 12 = 144 x 12 = 1728 x 12 = 20,736 x $31 monthly auto ship = $624,816 x your 2% commission = $12,856 per month! .

That’s the potential on your first 12 referrals. On your second 12 it goes up to 5%, plus you get a $50 bonus on everyone in your second group of 12 when they sign up.

OK. That’s "perfect math" and not the way things really work. 

I agree. Trim the numbers down and they still look pretty good. And it gets even better when you go to your next group of 12. Much better!  

However, I did meet someone at the convention who signed up 5 people and his SOC income at that time was $6,500 per month.

How much do people really make in this company?

This is by no means a "get rich quick" program.  It can take several years to build up a substantial income. 

It just depends on how much time you put into building the program. For more specific details and actual numbers, study the compensation plan below. There are many people in the company who have reached an executive level income in less than a year. If this is your goal I will show you a specific plan to put the system on steroids and make it happen.

As your referral base grows and your direct referrals begin referring others you begin to advance up through several levels. If you start as a Distributor you would advance to Manager, Senior Manager, Executive, Senior Executive and Eagle. In any position above Distributor you receive a referral bonus every time someone in your organization referred another distributor. Plus, every time you advance your residual percentage advances with you up to a maximum of 25%.

I would give you an example but it would seem too unreal. However, the next time you are driving down the highway and you pass one of those million dollar motor homes, wondering how they can afford it, here is the answer: They understand the principle of duplication and multiplication. And they are with an organization that understands that the best way to grow a business is to invest and pay their people with a lucrative compensation plan. Here are the details:

Distributor level. You receive 5% on the volume of any retail customers or wholesale distributors you sign up. On the first 12 people that you sign up you receive $120 per person. You also receive 2% of their volume as a residual income. If any of the 12 sign someone up under them you also receive 2% of their volume. Once you have a group of 12 you move up to the second level. You can also move up to the second level if you sign up a minimum of 3 people yourself and they sign up 9 more for a total of 12. You would receive the $120 on the 3 you signed up and 2% of their volume plus 2% of the volume of all those who signed up under your original three. Any combination of 12 as long as you sign up 3, will qualify you for the manager level.

Manager level. On the second 12 people you sign up you receive $170 for each person you sign and 5% of their volume. You receive $50 for each person any of the 12 people sign up plus 5% of their volume to unlimited levels. To move up to the next level you must sign up at least 3 people yourself and those three can sign up nine - or you can sign up all 12 yourself.

Sr Manager level. Once you have your 2 groups of 12 you move up to the next level. You receive $220 on each person you sign up and 10% of their volume. Each person they sign up at any level you receive $100 plus 10% of their volume.

Executive level. The first goal is to get two groups of 12. The next level pays $230 each time you sign someone up and 15% of their volume. You receive $110 for each person they sign up.

There are two more levels which goes up to $240 and $245 each time you sign someone and 20% and 25% of their volume.

You can see that the Sr Manager level is the first one that will start creating a real income. $220 for each person you sign up - $100 for each person they sign up - and 15% of their volume. Again to unlimited levels.

I have found the company for you. However, you must act now.

Why? As I write this the company has about 50,000 total distributors. Of that number, 45,000 are using it simply to send cards. Send Out Cards has recently been selected by Success Magazine (chosen from thousands of companies) to be featured in their magazine as one of the most up and coming companies in the country. The entire magazine is about how Send Out Cards gives you a tool to use the much talked about "Law of Attraction." I recently returned from the convention and there were 2,200 people in attendance. In 5 years there will be 22,000 and the opportunity will be more difficult to refer because hundreds of thousands of people will be getting on board. Ten years from now it will be past.

Follow my lead, get on board and a few years from now we will see each other at the convention or on a cruise and you will come up to me, put your arms around me, give me a bear hug and say "I can’t thank you enough!"

How much does it cost to send cards?

Here are the point values used to send cards (postage is separate).

~ A post card is 1 point,

~ A 1 fold card is 2 points

~ And a 2 fold card is 3 points.

~ If you create a "Picture Plus" card, meaning you upload a picture for the front of the card or the inside of the card, it is 1 additional point.

The least expensive is a post card, 1 point .31 cents and .27 cents postage = .58 cents.

And the most expensive is a 2 fold card with an uploaded picture, 3 points for the card plus 1 point for the picture and .44 cents postage = .31 x 4 + .44 = $1.70.
