1 Never complain about your territory. There are sales to be made in every territory and the next time you want to blame your region, just remember that there are thousands of sales people who believe that you are wrong. THEY’VE got the worst territory and YOU’VE got the best and they’d like the opportunity to work your territory in the same way that you feel you might like to work theirs.
2 When you’re offered another job that pays more, one of life’s truisms applies. You’ll either get paid more than you’re worth for a shorter period of time or get paid what you’re worth for as long as you’re worth it.
3 How would you like to become too valuable to keep your present job at your present pay? The secret was discovered years ago by someone who researched and interviewed hundreds of successful people. He found the answer, the common denominator of successful people throughout history: Do more than you are paid to do. Give better service than you are paid to give. 4 Every time you fail to make a sale ask yourself, “Why?” and if you can’t find the answer, ask your customer “Why?”. The answer will represent an objection and an objection is better than a no.
5 To succeed you have to separate yourself from the competition, you have to be different, you have to be better. One of the best ways is to know everything about your products. If you know what you’re talking about, the customer feels it and starts trusting you.
